Marta Manildi provides estate planning, estate settlement, and trust administration services to the clients of Hooper Hathaway. Drawing on an array of planning devices, and with sensitivity to clients’ personal, family, and business goals, she advises clients large and small with such diverse concerns as business succession planning, transfer tax minimization (estate, gift, and generation skipping transfer taxes), and charitable gift planning. Marta gives careful attention to the nature of particular assets that can require specialized treatment, including businesses, real estate, and retirement accounts.
Marta is a seasoned lawyer, having received her law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School in 1979 and completed the coursework for a Masters of Law degree in Taxation at Wayne State University Law School in 2009. Before concentrating her practice in estate planning area, Marta acquired significant experience in business transactions, contracts, and litigation.She now handles a wide array of probate court matters, including conducting jury trials to verdict.
Marta is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell. She has been named to Michigan Super Lawyers since 2006, and to Best Lawyers in America since 2007. Marta is also active in community affairs.
