Ken Thomson joined Hooper Hathaway in the summer of 2007 after serving approximately one year as a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Education in Washington, DC. This prestigious, merit based program was created during the Carter administration to encourage exceptionally qualified candidates to work for the government in a non-partisan manner. Mr. Thomson’s primary responsibility was legal and policy advising for numerous new initiatives for the Office of Planning, Evaluation and Policy Development. Since joining Hooper Hathaway, Mr. Thomson has advised clients on a variety of topics from real estate transactions to employment discrimination to business formations and mergers. Mr. Thomson
earned dual degrees from the University of Michigan in 2006, completing
the Juris Doctor program at Michigan Law School while receiving a Master
of Public Policy from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Immediately
prior to graduate school, Mr. Thomson earned a Bachelor of Arts, also
from the University of Michigan, with majors in history and political
science and a minor in philosophy. Mr. Thomson is admitted to practice
in all Michigan State courts and the federal court for the Eastern District
of Michigan. |
