Angela Jackson has been a litigator with the firm since graduating from the University of Michigan law school in 1995. She has tried cases to jury verdict in several state and federal courts on matters ranging from employment, to admiralty to the Uniform Commercial Code, and personal injury. She has also arbitrated a wide variety of construction and employment benefit disputes. In addition to handling cases throughout Michigan, Ms. Jackson has actively litigated cases throughout the country, including in California, New York, and New Jersey courts. Ms. Jackson, along with her partner Anthony Patti, recently received a record setting jury verdict in the amount of $11,900,000.00 for a client in a legal malpractice action. Ms. Jackson's practice can be broadly described as commercial litigation with a special emphasis on employment law and litigation including sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation, whistleblower, trade secrets and non-compete agreements. She advises both corporate and individual clients regarding employment matters. In addition, Ms. Jackson is frequently involved in Uniform Commercial Code litigation, construction litigation, contractual disputes and personal injury litigation. She is admitted to all Courts in the State of Michigan as well as the federal district courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Jackson is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been named a Michigan Super Lawyer in the years 2006 and 2007.
