Dan Cogan joined the firm in 2008 to provide estate planning, estate settlement and trust administration advice to our clients. Dan received a BS degree from Carnegie Mellon University (1967) and earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh (1974). He has over 30 years of experience in trust and estate administration, working for both large and community based banks. He has been active in the State Bar Probate Council, the County Bar Probate Section and in both the Greater Lansing and Washtenaw Estate Planning Councils. In addition, Dan is a frequent speaker or moderator for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, was an adjunct faculty member at the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, has been a guest speaker at the University of Michigan Law School, and has spoken to numerous civic and professional groups. He has been active in our local communities, having served on the board of the Washtenaw County Chapter of the American Red Cross, the Parks Commission of the City of Saline, Finance Committee of the Alzheimer's Association, and an advisory board to the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation.
